The remains of St. Andrew’s Church in Plymouth after being bombed in
March 1941.

Within hours of the bombing, a headmistress nailed a wooden sign
saying Resurgam (I shall rise again) over what is now known as
the “Resurgam” door.  It has since been replaced with a carved
granite plaque.
